Clearwater International advises Facilicom Group on the sale of its French subsidiaries to ATALIAN

Clearwater International has advised Facilicom Group (Facilicom), a facility services provider, on the sale of its French subsidiaries, Gom and Trigion, to ATALIAN, one of the leading facility services providers in France.

Facilicom is a Dutch company operating in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, and until this transaction, France. The company is active in facility services and healthcare, offering cleaning, security, corporate catering, personnel services, and maintenance. In 2016, Facilicom generated an overall turnover of €1.3bn with a headcount of 30,000 employees, whilst in France, a turnover of €70m with 3,200 employees.

ATALIAN operates across 30 countries throughout Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. The company is mainly active in cleaning, maintenance, and security. In 2016, ATALIAN generated an overall turnover of over €1.8bn with a headcount of 95,000 employees, whilst in France, a turnover of €1.1bn with over 50,000 employees.

Facilicom has the ambition to achieve a leading position in all its markets and due to cross-border synergies limited in this sector, decided to divest its subsidiaries to ATALIAN.
