ELMOS Semiconductor (Germany) sold the special packaging activities to Nimbus
ELMOS Semiconductor AG (Germany) sold the special packaging activities of its Dutch subsidiary ELMOS Advanced Packaging B.V. to Sencio B.V., a newly founded portfolio company of Nimbus.
Sencio (www.sencio.nl) develops and manufactures special packaging solutions for integrated semiconductors and sensors, mainly for the automotive industry. The new company has 70 employees. The carve-out will enable the new company to further develop and expand the special packaging activities.
ELMOS Semiconductor (www.elmos.de), located in Dortmund (Germany), develops, manufactures and sells system solutions based on semiconductors and sensors. The company is listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In 2009, ELMOS generated a turnover of EUR 124 million and employed 1,038 employees.
Nimbus (www.nimbus.com) is a Dutch investment company focussing on companies with improvement potential and distinguishes itself by its “hands-on” approach. Nimbus and has a portfolio of eight corporate groups, encompassing 38 operating companies with total sales of EUR 750 million and a workforce of more than 3,000.
