Klap Verzekeringsmakelaar sold a stake to Nedvest
Klap Verzekeringsmakelaar, a Dutch insurance broker active in both the professional and the consumer insurance market has sold a stake to Dutch private equity firm Nedvest. With the participation of Nedvest, Klap aims to continue its organic growth and to foster its growth through acquisitions.
PhiDelphi has supported the shareholders of Klap on the strategic decision making on the future of the company and the preparations leading towards the transaction process.
PhiDelphi has a strong track record in the insurance brokerage sector and was involved in various transactions in the sector including the sale of Sibbing, the acquisition of Gebr. Sluyter and Finance & Insurane and the support for ABN Amro Verzekeringen in the NN-Delta Lloyd takeover. Together with consultancy IG&H, PhiDelphi has published a whitepaper on the current consolidation in the insurance brokerage sector in April 2020.
