Clearwater International advises Fit For Free and Sport City on their sale from Avedon Capital Partners to Bencis and management

Clearwater International has advised fitness chains, Fit For Free and SportCity, on their sale from the investor, Avedon Capital Partners, to Bencis, an independent investment company, and management.

Fit For Free is a budget fitness chain, with around 90 fitness clubs and 330,000 members in the Netherlands.

SportCity is a high-end fitness chain, offering premium fitness facilities in around 20 fitness clubs, with 55,000 members in the Netherlands.

Avedon Capital Partners is an investor passionate about supporting exceptional entrepreneurs and management teams of niche market-leading companies, to realise ambitious growth plans in partnership, focusing on the lower end of the mid-market in the Benelux region and Germany.

Bencis is an independent investment company, that has supported business owners and management teams in achieving their growth ambitions in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, for over 20 years. The company operates from offices in Amsterdam, Brussels/Diegem, and Düsseldorf.

With Bencis as a new shareholder and a new management team in place, Fit For Free and SportCity will further strengthen their position in the fitness sector.
