Clearwater International advises Standard Investment on the sale of Terwa to Deutsche Private Equity

Clearwater International has advised Standard Investment, a private equity firm, on the sale of its portfolio company Terwa, a producer and developer of towbar components, to the German equity firm, Deutsche Private Equity (DPE).

Standard Investment is a Dutch, hands-on, private equity firm with a focus on mid-market companies in the Netherlands and Belgium. The firm currently manages a portfolio of 16 companies.

Terwa produces and develops towbar components for the automotive industry, alongside lifting systems and rebar connections for the construction industry. The company employees more than 150 staff and is headquartered in the Netherlands, where it also has a logistics centre. In addition, Terwa owns a production facility in Romania, a sales office in Poland, and a procurement office in China.

DPE has an equity capital of more than €600m and invests in mid-market companies throughout Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
