Vistaprint acquired Albumprinter

Vistaprint, a leading online provider of professional marketing products and services, acquired Albumprinter, one of Europe’s largest online photo book suppliers. The acquisition combines Vistaprint’s strength of a pan-European customer base with Albumprinter’s specialised expertise and technology for the design and production of photo books.

Albumprinter, headquartered in Amsterdam, is one of the leaders in the European online photo book market with operations across seven European countries. The Company sells online photo books both through a direct-to-consumer model and an indirect model, for which it partners with leading retail stores throughout Europe. The direct-to-consumer online model sells via the brands Albelli, Bonusprint, and Önskefoto. During the trailing twelve months ending September 30, 2011, Albumprinter generated almost EUR 40 million in revenue.

Vistaprint, Nasdaq listed with a market capitalisation of approximately USD 1.2 billion, offers high-quality printed marketing and promotion products primarily to small businesses as well as consumers. The offering ranges from business cards, brochures and calendars to marketing services such as postcard mailing and website services. With 2,800 employees worldwide and more than 120 countries served, the company generated revenues of USD 817 million in fiscal year 2011 ending 30th June.
